Paramānanda He Mādhava

paramānanda he mādhava

se-cakāḍolāṅka-payare
man
a-mo rahu nirantare (4)

Måtte mitt sinn for alltid dvele ved lotusføttene til den Cakāḍolā.

mana mo nirantare rahu
‘hā kṛṣṇa’ boli jīv
a jāu (5)

Måtte mitt sinn for alltid bo [ved Hans lotusføtter] og mens jeg synger, “Hā Kṛṣṇa!” måtte min livskraft forlate denne kroppen.

‘hā kṛṣṇa’ boli jāu jīva
mote udhār
a rādhā-dhava (6)

Måtte livskraften min forlate denne kroppen mens jeg synger «Hā Kṛṣṇa!» Å Rādhās elskede, vær så snill å befri meg.

mote udhāra rādhā-dhava
mote udhār
a rādhā-dhava (7)

Å Rādhās elskede, vær så snill å befri meg. Å Rādhās elskede, vær så snill å befri meg.

Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Goswami Maharaja

Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Goswami Maharaja

On February 7, the new moon day of the month of Māgha, 1921, Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja took his divine birth in a highly educated and respected brāhmaṇa family in the village of Tiwārīpura, in the Buxar district of Bihar, India. He was given the name Śrīman Nārāyaṇa. His parents were devout Vaiṣṇavas of the Śrī sampradāya, and from the time he was a small baby, Śrīman Nārāyaṇa’s father regularly took him to recitations of the Rāmāyaṇa, which he loved. His devotional nature was evident even in his childhood.1

In 1945, a disciple of Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura named Śrīla Narottamānanda Brahmacārī was touring and preaching the message of Śrī Caitanyadeva in the Tewārīpura area. Śrīman Nārāyaṇa became convinced of the pristine philosophy of the ācāryas in the line of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī Prabhupāda, and in 1946, he travelled to Śrī Navadvīpa-dhāma, West Bengal, where he met Śrī Śrīmad Bhakti Prajñāna Keśava Gosvāmī Mahārāja2. He received harināma and dikṣā initiation from him and was given the name Śrī Gaura Nārāyaṇa. He accompanied his gurudeva on his extensive preaching tours throughout India, rendering him personal service and also actively assisting him in preaching. This included regularly hosting the thousands of pilgrims attending the yearly Navadvīpa-dhāma parikramā and Vraja-maṇḍala parikramā, which, years later, would draw thousands of devotees the world over.
