We all live our lives searching for Love – true, deep and pure. Life becomes meaningful, bright and joyful only if we find Love. Or the world becomes an empty, sad and lonely place to stay if we experience no love, neither inside nor out. Why? Because Love is something that can transcend time, space, matter. It makes us alive and eternal. It is the most precious gift to be received and given. Wisdom of the saints and the holy scriptures whisper to us that God Himself can be “controlled” by nothing else, but love. But how do we find this sweetest power? What is the process and what is the path? Well the wise Gaudya Vaishnavas (yogis of love) tell us that  the journey leads towards the depths of the heart. How?

BHAKTI YOGA

Bhakti yoga is a sacred ancient yogic tradition in Gaudiya Vaishnava line. Bhakti means love, love at its fullest and deepest. While yoga means connection, relationship. Those who travel this path are meant to reach the ultimate destination inside one’s soul –  Loving Relationship with the Creator of all Creation – with the Sweet Absolute, Sri Krishna.

Bhakti yoga is a tradition full of heartwarming prayers, which in the form of songs (bhajans) are being chanted in association with Vaishnavas. It is a tradition of kirtan – where Maha Mantra ( Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare ) and sweetest names of God are being chanted out loud, together in the assembly of the Devotees. We glorify God, we remember His presence, gifts and thereby we are willing to reconnect to His reality and consciousness of Love.

Sacred meeting

In the songs posted and translated in this humble webpage, You will read and hear about the transcendental reality – Sri Vrindavan… a tiny village in the spiritual world, where little beautiful boy Krisna lives with His friends, family and beloved ones – gopis and gopas.. In songs You will find our Gurus (Teachers) opening the gates to the sacred lilas (happenings and interactions). While listening and singing together, You may feel these wonderful moods of longing in seperation, or those of meeting in endless happiness appearing in Your heart…

And that is where the intimate, sacred meeting between God and soul begins.

WHAT  IS THE MEANING OF YOGA?

“…What is the meaning of yoga? If there are two or more things and if we make them together this means yoga. Like one plus one is equal to two. This is yoga. But when a soul is connected with God it is pure yoga. This is called bhakti-yoga. If we want to connect two bricks we will have to bring something so that will connect it, like mud. So, if we are going to connect this soul with God there should be something to add. What is that? Love and affection. In this world everything is tightened by love and affection. We have love and affection now but it is not transcendental. But, there, love and affection is so pure that this soul can be connected forever, eternally, and transcendentally and this is called bhakti-yoga. We can be connected to the Supreme Personality of Godhead through love and affection. ”
